Guys, we have a hot show on our hands this week.
First things first though, thanks to everyone who watched last week’s show (http://blip.tv/thechrisgethardshow/tcgs-60-truth-or-dare-6340020). We had a super fun time. Everyone who contributed ideas for Truth or Dare through our message board is much appreciated and big thanks to the Shivering Brigade for their stellar performance.
This week we welcome to TCGS a very special guest and a man I’ve long admired, Andrew W.K. The best concert I’ve ever attended was an Andrew W.K. show, and his messages of having fun, staying positive, and going for it are messages that any fan of TCGS can relate to. I’m so, so happy he’s going to be hanging out in studio.
In honor of his presence and his dedication to partying, we’ve decided to throw the Best Party We Can Throw Under Public Access Studio Rules. These rules are going to make it tough – they mean no food, drink, or copyrighted music, aka the types of things that generally serve as the core elements of a party. No worries though! We’ve decided to go big – we’ve brainstormed a number of events that we believe will bring our studio to a true point of chaos and a true embracing of the idea of partying. My sole goal for this episode is that by the end Andrew W.K. will turn to me and say that we have achieved a level of partying that he approves of.
Callers, you are going to be intimately involved in this one! Call us up at 212-757-1393 – I’ll be on stage with Andrew and will have multi-colored envelopes by my side. You’ll tell me which envelope to open and that will set into motion one of the many insane stunts we’ve got planned. This will launch into motion some sort of chaos, some sort of fun, some sort of PARTY. I hope we can bring the heat and become certified in the art of partying by the kingpin of partying himself.
As if that wasn’t enough, our musical guest this week is none other than Kitty Pryde! You’ve probably seen her videos as they’ve exploded all over the internet in recent months. From videos of her and her friends fucking around and making songs to videos of her and Riff Raff hanging out on the boardwalk at Daytona Beach, pretty much every song this young lady makes explodes pretty instantaneously. With Kitty Pryde on music and Andrew W.K. overseeing the partying, I for the first time ever simply hope that MNN studios can contain this much show.
It is going to be chaos. That’s the whole goal we came out of our writer’s meeting this week. CHAOS.
