A very important question that speaks volumes of your character
on: November 28, 2012, 11:10

If you could be any animal, what animal would you be? Don't jump right in - think about it. Also, if you have the time, feel free to provide a brief explanation as to why you picked each.
Obviously, there are 3 parts to this question to answer:

1.) Land (not human)
2.) Aquatic (not a human living on a boat)
3.) Mythical OR potentially mythical/slightly probable creature (could be human hybrid of some sort - no gods)

After typing human more than once, it just looks and sounds weird. Sorry, I'm getting sidetracked. I will go first.

1.) Flying Squirrel - I feel like squirrels are nature's daredevils and I admire their complete unnecessary death defying bravery on a daily basis. I do not trust myself with the power of flight. Even as an animal, I think I might use my powers for evil, so as a control, I would just like to glide through the air.

2.) Dolphin - not a huge fan of the water in general. Dolphins seem like pretty cool cats though with their backflips and stuff. I guess anything that was cared for in a comfy captivity spot where they hand fed me everyday and brought me a mate just to try to prolong the existence of my race. Sometimes the endangered species list sounds like animal royalty to me, but i guess being among a dying breed has some downside to it, but what do i know, I'm not a scientist or anything

3.) Maybe an Internet Trolling Troll - mainly because i think it would be funny to go on some internet boards or video games and "troll" until someone called me a troll and then I would call them human and then maybe someone would say something like "don't feed the troll" and then i would say something like "TROLL DEMANDS SUSTENANCE!". So maybe and actual internet troll troll. If not, i would be the Jaguar Shark because the life aquatic is my favorite movie and i would love to have been the subject of a team zissou documentary

1)Giraffe. Easy. I don't have many reasons other than they are hands down the best animal.
2)I'd rather die. Aquatic life is too fucking scary.
3)Centaur. Come ask me about centaurs some time. I'll talk your ear off. I fucking love centaurs.

1) Basset hound: You get to chill out all day. From my experience owning two I found out that no one hates a basset either, and everyone no matter what they looked like would come up, and tell me how cute they were and asked if they could pet them (I had homeless, hardcore punks, gang-bangers, small children, college students and everyone else in between say/ask those two things)
2) Catfish: Mostly because I watched something on Animal Planet that said that the members catfish family is the most dangerous fresh water fish there are, and I thought that was super cool
3) A Godzilla-like monster: I love Godzilla, and figure he's close enough to a dragon. And who wouldn't love being a giant lizard who breathes radioactive fire. Plus it would be cool to be able to visit Monster Island.

1) Polar bear. Get to hang out in the snow and just blend in with the scenery.

2) Oh man, I would easily take any aquatic lifeform if given the option. Maybe a mako shark since they swim fast, jump high out if the water, and are apex predators.

3) Gryphon. Half lion and half eagle. These are basically the best things ever.

1/ I'm gonna understand "land" as "also birds" because FLYING! I'm gonna pick a bird of prey because they are both beautiful and bad-ass. And i'll pick a migrating one because you get to cross half the planet FLYING! Milvus migrans! is called a black kite apparently. Yes.

2/ Easy: octopus. Because SMART and beautiful(yeah i said it) and also they have tentacles. With suckers on them! But they don't use one of their 8 arms for swimming like any other stupid sea creatures, they spit water instead and go way faster. And they're bad-ass too(they win against crabs! easily). And they can change color and shit.

3/ Slightly probable creature, i'll be a forever-young wild boar. Because young wild boars are the cutest. As cute as a lil piglet plus stripes! But they lose them when they grow old. Then they're cool but not cute.

1. Anything with floppy ears, because floppy ears are floppy! <3 Jbsuperfly is on to something.

2. Human Fish. Or a big sea turtle. A big BIG one! Because Mario and TMNT brainwashed me to love turtles.

3. Bibarel (pokémon). Half beaver, half barrel. Ish. It's clearly the best pokémon.

1.) I had to look this one up, the Yakut horse. Strong, can endure harsh winters, and grows really cool thick hair. I really like bears and moose too though.

2.) A Manatee. I really like Manatees. They are gentle and funny and need protection from motorboats.

Or maybe a starfish. Regenerating limbs is neat to me. I have this memory from
when I was a kid in California, on a trip with my family and my best friend's family to the beach. We walked along the rocks and explored tide pools. These little starfish, sea urchins, sea anemones, and tiny hermit crabs living in their own little world. It's my favorite memory to think about.

3.) I had trouble with this one. I think I will go with a Phoenix. It burns completely when it dies, then
rises from the ashes, a new phoenix reborn. I think that's how it goes.
(And I love the Jaguar Shark, except when it ate Esteban.)

Land: Bumblebee. The insect not the transformer. Collect pollen all day. Occasionally scare the shit out of giant humans with my one-shot death sting.

Water: Blue whale. Biggest animal. I don't think I need another reason.

Mythological: The beholder from D&D. Floating eyeball with magic death lasers.

1) Okapi: While I think wolves are awesome, I have no characteristics in common with them. I am much more non-threatening, like a giraffe. I am not at all tall though, so I'll go with their shorter, stranger looking cousin the Okapi.

2) Cuttlefish: cuttlefish can change color to reflect their environment and their moods. I am also terrible at hiding my emotions.

3) Faun: Or I guess Fauness? I just chose this one because somebody I work with named a goat after me.
