As I expected, fans of TCGS have impeccable taste in comedy. ALL GREAT

What about female comics?
I, for one, am a huge fan of Eddie Izzard ^_^

No but I really enjoy Wanda Sykes, Tig Notaro, Roseanne, Lisa Lampanelli and Ellen DeGeneres.
Watching Kathy Griffin feels more like a guilty pleasure ;-)

Stanhope has been really appealing to me lately, I don't know why. It's probably just because I've been drinking too much. I just need the aggression lately, the frankness of his comedy. Not always set up and punch.

Other then that James Adomian's new album "Low Hanging Fruit" is pretty fun. Worth a purchase.

My all-time favorite is Stephen Wright, but I love this bit by Tig Notaro about her run-ins with Taylor Dane:

James Adomian! That guy is so great at everything.

In the bearded category Brendon Walsh is another amazing guy, as is Kyle Kinane.
I went to SXSW this past year just for comedy shows, and plan to do that from here on out. Was also able to get to LA for the Comedy Bang Bang Christmas show, which was about 5 hours long and so incredible. Jeselnik was probably my personal favorite there, but seeing Bob Odenkirk live was a lifetime highlight. I had also always loved Thomas Lennon, but he closed out the show so greatly that it made me love him even more.

How could I forget Jimmy Pardo? He's amazing. If he did a show anywhere in the South, I would consider flying there just to see him.

Louie C.K., and then Jen Kirkman. I think if Jen had more material out there she'd beat Louie, but as it stands she just has the two best albums I've ever heard. Louie's great though, he's got a weirdly moral point of view.

My favorites that I don't think have been mentioned yet are Joe Mande, John Mulaney, Gabe Leidman, and Jessi Klein.
