Red Fang make some great videos. Musically, they're kind of like Queens of the Stone Age.

Lo Pan out of Ohio. Stonerrock. Sound just like the record live.

Hi
I want to share my love for Art Brut: they've consistently been rocking hard and have funny lyrics. The lead singer Eddie Argos is a super star. They KILL it live. What else? Their last 2 albums were produced by Frank Black, who knows what's up.

modern art makes them want to rock out

also they put at least one song per album about weekends

There's not many videos for their first 2 albums, but they do rock

There are way too many bands that I love and will never get to see because they wimped out and broke up. One of my faves were Q And Not U. They're so everything I love in music. Just perfect post hardcore.

Martin - you ever listen to Black Eyes? I think you'd dig them.

I feel like these guys are from the future, but like an alternate, Marvel 2099-type future, and they were sent back in time by President Doom for being too dope.

These guys have a kind of twisty art-metal vibe to them, and they're really good at changing their style just enough between each record. Although: the singer easily beats out Geddy Lee in the category of 'obnoxious voice that will be an insurmountable barrier to the enjoyment of more than half the people who listen.'

Love love love Q And Not U! I heard a little bit of Foals the other day and it reminded me a lot of them.

They're a little screamier, but I like them. I can definitely see how they were label/tour mates.

This thread has inspired me to bust out my old external harddrive. It's full of super current indie music from around 2009.

Next time we see each other, let's sing "S-o-f/t-p-y/r-a-m/i-d-s/e-v-a/p-o-r/a-t-e/at daylight!"
