The Sitcom Pilot Episode

Okay, so this is dumb, but it's a goofy idea has been in my head for a few days.

TCGS has had some trouble getting love from a real network - so maybe we need to film a traditional 22-minute, corny CBS style sitcom pilot in an hour. The panel is cast as the main characters, the musical act can be worked into the plot of the episode, studio audience provides the laugh track, and callers are "commercial breaks". The "pilot" itself can be pre-written or improvised-- but ideally a mix of both.

Sort of a spiritual successor to "A Book Shall Be Written" and "Fanfiction Theater".

I DON'T KNOW I THINK IT WOULD BE FUN.

I think this is 100% a great idea. Let's see how many cliche's they could fit into it... the cast gets trapped in an elevator, someone accidentally sees another cast member naked, pet-sitting or house-sitting goes awry, someone makes two dates for the same night, etc.
